Klassy Occasions - Dress Hire & Sales is built around getting the best value for our customers. We are an independent retailer based on the Carlow / Wexford / Wicklow border in south east Ireland and we previously hired a range of bridesmaids dresses but we are now replacing our hire service for bridesmaids with the Try before you Buy service.

The Klassy Occasions - Dress Hire & Sales Try before you Buy service for bridesmaids is aimed at giving you the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the experience of shopping with your bridesmaids but still availing of online offers. Online retailers are now in a position to offer fantastic discounts to customers and many of them will now ship to Ireland

But while there is great value to be got by buying online it also has it's pitfall's

• You order a dress but it does not look as you expected
• Does not fit as expected, you ordered the wrong size, wrong length
• Fabric not the right shade
• Fabric heavier or lighter than expected
• The colour does not suit the girls
• The shapes do not suit the bridesmaid's body shapes
• The bridesmaids don't like the dresses
• Did not use a reputable retailer or not sure how to go about online shopping

• Personal consultation with an experienced occasion wear assistant during a private 1 hour appointment
• We are authorised resellers of all dresses/designers in store.
• Viewing and fitting of a selection of bridesmaid's dresses and viewing of official swatch for the dress
• We provide you will all the information you need to buy your gowns online, namely the designer name, official style code, exact colour description or number, sizing information - we will measure the bridesmaids and calculating sizing for particular designers, length information and other items of note
• We will provide you with guidance on how to go about buying your dresses online along with your information pack.
• We have a wide range of sample dresses which can be seen on our website gallery on www.klassydresshire.ie If you want to see a specific dress ensure that you mention this when booking you appointment so we can ensure it is here for you to try on.
• At present our primary supplier is Bari Jay - but our own gallery shows the dresses that we keep in store. If you want to see other styles please enquire prior to your appointment. We do not keep every dress from the designer rather a selection from their overall collection.
• You can avoid very costly mistakes as bridesmaid's dresses have a no return policy from online shops and you have dramatically reduced the risks associated with buying online.
• We charge €20 per bridesmaid for this service

Online retailers are now in a position to offer fantastic discounts to customers and many of them will now ship to Ireland. We recognise this new trend and the needs of the cost conscious bride and intend to support these brides by offering a service to make the process easier for all involved. While an independent retailer such as ourselves just cannot match online retailer volume orders and so we cannot get the discounted rates to match the pricing offered by online counterparts. Other overheads we have to add on are shipping, customs and VAT which all make dresses more expensive for brides to buy. It all adds up especially when you have 2 or 3 or more girls to buy for……
The cost of buying online versus renting has narrowed to the point where we are now offering this as a way to get great value without compromising on your dresses, in addition you remove the risk of damage to the bridesmaids dress when rented prior to your wedding and you are in a position to have permanent alterations done to your dresses.
We do still have a large proportion of our customers who prefer to buy through us and have us handle all aspects of the process the try before you buy service intends to replace our hire service. Indeed many brides return to us after attending the try before you buy service but feel after going online that they prefer us to do it for them directly which is no problem.

We have researched and vetted a number of online resellers and give guidance in this regard.

We strenuously recommend that customers only buy from authorised resellers of the particular designer of the chosen dress style. It is your responsibility to research and ensure you are buying from a reputable retailer and understands all the details, costs & charges associated with your purchase

Yes we can order your dresses in for you. If you do decide to order from us the cost of your initial appointment will be applied against the total order cost when placed through us.
